Snoring can be very difficult for you and those around you because it is a condition that can affect the way you sleep. If you snore then the inability to breath can become a serious issue causing you to wake up frightened in your sleep. Many people have resorted to general anti-snoring tips for help but sometimes they might not help depending on the severity of your problem. The next step would be to strengthen the muscles in your mouth, jaw and neck to decrease the amount of fat to open the air passage way.
If you are not sure which ones will help then here are some of the most recommended Anti-Snoring Exercises:
The first exercise is a general one to help you reduce the weight and fat around your neck. It’s very simple and requires you to doing some cardio 2-3 times a week which is not only good for your snoring but is amazing for overall health. High Intensity Interval Training is the best for quick weight loss as it increases your metabolism causing you to burn more calories.
Next, while lying down you can do the “chewing motion” with your mouth which will overtime tighten your jaw, mouth and neck building a leaner looking neck. When this happens you slowly decrease the fat around your neck opening up the airway reducing snoring. You can try to work out your jaw which may help you depending again on the severity of your snoring. Continuously sticking out your jaw can open up the back of your throat where snoring occurs. Once you have widened the back of your throat you have more room for the air to pass through. To do this exercise, stick out your bottom jaw so that your bottom teeth are in front of your upper teeth and hold the position for 10 seconds after releasing it then repeating for at least 5-10 times a day.
A basic tongue exercise can even help open up the back of your throat and is very simple to do. Perform this exercise 20 times a day and you should notice a difference within one month if done correctly. Start by sticking out your tongue as far as you can while shifting to the right and left. After about the 3 times doing it you will feel a good stretch towards the back of your mouth and this is the way to tell if you are performing it correctly. You should feel the throat tighten working the muscles in the back.
While doing these exercising, incorporate a BALANCED DIET which is great for overall health and weight loss. Start by cutting out fatty foods that do nothing but add extra calories and weight to your body. Add more fiber and vegetables which is both full of fat burning vitamins and antioxidants providing essential antibodies that help control hunger by decreasing blood sugar levels. Since you are least active after 6pm, it is recommended to cut off all carbohydrates after this time because these act as energy and unused energy turns into fat if not used.
Make sure not to be on a weight loss diet for a prolonged period of time and if you intend to then cycle it through meaning 2 weeks on and 1 week off since this will give your body sufficient time to get use to the weight loss.
