I have been a lazzzzzyyyyy girl in the last few days but let me tell you that I do not feel guilty at all!
I believe that this is the second time in the last couple of years that me workout log has been BLANK. Sometimes, a gal just needs a break from it all…
Lately my motivation for working out has drastically dropped and instead of beating my self up for it, I decided to enjoy my time off by taking a step back in order to get things back into perspective and feel the desire to get back in the game. It’s good to take a moment (or a few days) to understand where you’re lack of motivation is coming from & sometimes it’s just what you need to realize how important physical activity really is for you and how good it makes you feel! Although I have enjoying resting and not being disciplined for this period of time, I have to say that I really miss feeling energized, strong and empowered! Life just isn’t the same when you don’t fuel your body with the right food and when exercising is not part of your daily routine. It’s amazing how fast you can used to eating crappy food and not working out, but the question is: how does it make you feel? Pay attention to these signals your body gives you when you don’t treat it right, I find that these couple of days have also affected my mind-set, mood and level of energy… my brain has become so lazy and I’m not liking that very much.
Tip of the week: If you feel like you have lost your groove for working out, allow yourself to take a step back and analyze where this is coming from but don’t be harsh on yourself. Perhaps all you need is a couple of days off or maybe you need to switch things up a bit, try something new…
