Summary of the week:
- 2 x 12min. HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)
- 1 x 30min. Brisk walk
- 1 x 25min. Booty Circuit
- 1 x 30min. Total Body Circuit
It was a great week altogether , I also got my bike out for a spin for the very first time this year, that rocked!
On the downside, I got a little over pumped and beasty and slightly injured myself while performing partial weighed side step-ups. The worst part is that I felt that it was too hard and awkward from the start but I still went for it… stubborn Taureans, pffff!
Also, I finally brought my scale home from our cottage house and I got a little surprise when I stepped on it for the first time in months, I knew that I have gained a few pounds…. well it turns out that I actually gained a little more than that: 13 pounds to be exact, aouch!!! That’s what happens when your diet is not in check, it definitely plays a major role in your total body composition, no doubt about that… So it’s definitely time to step it up a notch, I mean, I’ve got to fit in my summer clothes next month! Tip of the week: I’ve got 2 mighty words for you: WARM-UP + PROGRESSION! We hear it over and over again but it’s so freakin’ important to do exercises that your body is ready to perform, there is no use in attempting to complete an advanced variation of a certain move if your body is simply not ready for it. No, you won’t get better or faster results, it’s actually quite the opposite! So make sure you warm-up properly and master a certain move before stepping it up a notch, promise me that! I really got scared when I hurt myself this week, thanks god I’m fine but I really could have injured myself more severely and have major consequences… don’t make the same silly mistake!
