Working out is good for the soul! But you knew that already, didn’t you?
So get off the couch and LET’S GOOOOOO!!!! And don’t forget to smile! Smiling and laughing while doing ANYTHING increases your productivity by 30%, so slap on that smile when the workout gets tough!
I have been a dancer since I was 7 years old so working out was a part of my daily routine without really thinking of it as a workout. I participated in volleyball, track and field, snowboarding team, and have been active across the board throughout my life. This has trained me to crave something more out of my workouts.
Something a bit different. You will never find me in a gym! I have had a few memberships here and there but I always get so bored and end up canceling them within a few months. I am driven by challenging workouts and honestly, I am not one to push myself to the limit when I am alone in the gym. In dance class, you have a teacher pushing you. In track and field, volleyball, and snowboarding you have a coach pushing you.
So this is what I am attracted to and I love it!
So, what kind of workouts do I do?
Yoga! Cleanses my mind, body, and soul. I attend yoga roughly 2x a week, sometimes more, each class being 90 minutes. These classes are advanced and if you have ever taken a “Yoga Flow” you will understand what I mean when I say IT’S A WORKOUT!
CrossFit! I attend CrossFit roughly 2x a week, each class being 60-75 minutes. I love how easy it is to gauge your progress! Lifting heavier and heavier weights, doing more reps, completing the “WOD” faster and faster! Not only that, but the group atmosphere in the classes I attend is very driven with constant support.
The CrossFit coach is actually a fellow Herbalife Health Coach with me so I started going to his workouts to support him and fell in love with the class! Plus, makes your booty look amazing! And shoulders, and abs, and legs…
FitCamp! I attend FitClub 2-3x a week and each session is 60 minutes! These workouts were created by my organization down in Southern California to accompany the Herbalife nutrition programs and provide a free workout for the community.
The original FitCamp is in Santa Monica and gets anywhere from 200-400 people every Sunday! Now these workouts spread all over the WORLD (literally!) and connect thousands of people who are looking to plug into the healthy-active lifestyle.
The workouts consist of cardio and plyometric station work. All body weight, no equipment. Things such as: bear crawls, ab stations, wind sprints, squats, pushups, agility courses…very similar to football training I guess you could say! They are full of smiles, support, and high fives so I fit right in! Contact me through my website to find one in your area!!
By creating a schedule with a lot of variety, personalities, and support I find it IMPOSSIBLE to be inconsistent with it! I look forward to my workouts and have created amazing relationships through the FitClubs. I am so happy in all of my workouts because of the atmosphere that is created full of positivity. By plugging into something like this, consistency is a no brainer and it’s easy to get results!
