Hey hey hey! Although this workout log is highly overdue… I’d still like to take advantage of the holiday ambience of this post and wish you all a highly successful, cheerful & joyful month of training. Whether your goal is to tone up all over, get stronger muscles, reach a new PR, lift heavier or lose weight; planning and tracking your progress is a great tool that can help you stay on track while keeping your motivation levels high(er)! Even though I haven’t shared my workout log on my blog for… over 3 months (oh my), I haven’t stopped working out – neither keeping track of every single sweat session I’ve had since. So starting today, I’ll make sure I get all those workouts back up on the blog for you all to check out!
Looking back, I remember feeling a need for a more purposeful and soulful exercise regimen back at the end of 2013. For the first time in a LONG time, I didn’t feel like doing my intense sweat sessions, whether it was HIIT or weight lifting, I needed a change because my motivation just dropped and I had a deep desire to reconnect with my body and move it mindfully to heal & rejuvenate.
Last December, I didn’t workout much but I certainly enjoyed a regular-ish Yoga practice!
So without further ado, let’s have a look at what I’ve been doing during the last month of 2013:
December Workout Log:
**WEEK 01 (01-07 December 2013)
Sunday 1st: 20min. Detox Yoga Flow
Wednesday 4th: 10min. Freestyle Quickie Workout
- 10min.: 5min. Bodyweight Cardio Exercises (invisible jump rope, jumping jacks, kicks, punches, etc.) + 5min. Bodyweight Strength Exercises (squats, lunges, crunches, leg abductions, bridge, superman, bird-dog, etc.)
**WEEK 02 (08-14 December 2013)
Tuesday 10th: 20min. Detox Yoga Flow
Friday 13th: 20min. Detox Yoga Flow
**WEEK 03 (15-21 December 2013)
Wednesday 18th: 27min. Detox Yoga Flow
Saturday 21st: 35min. Power Vinyasa Yoga
** WEEK 04 (22-28 December 2013)
Sunday 22nd: 20min. Detox Yoga Flow
Tuesday 24th: 23min. Yoga for Detox & Digestion + Quick Lower Body Circuit
- 20 Kickbacks/s.
- 20 Side step-ups/s.
- 40 Glute Bridges
- 40 Side Lying Leg Abductions/s.
Friday 27th: 20min. Yoga Detox Flow
Saturday 28th: 20min. Yoga Detox Flow
**WEEK 05 (29-31 December 2013)
Sunday 29th: 22min. Power Yoga – Hip Opening
(did less than half the workout video – a little too advanced for me)
Sunday 30th: 20min. Freestyle Yoga Practice
