No matter who you are, what you are doing, or what your goals are, mindset is the key factor in success. When I am working with my clients, I can teach them all I know about nutrition and fitness, but the real results happen when the MINDSET is there; when they are able to BELIEVE in themselves and their possibilities. I work with health and wellness of the mind, body and soul. My key phrase?
“Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right.”
How does this pertain to working out, fitness, or results? The mind is a very powerful tool. More powerful than many of us imagine. Our mind has the power to influence every cell in our body which in turn, affects our physical self.
“The greatest need of the human body is to be consistent with how we perceive ourselves.” – Anthony Robbins
If we believe wholeheartedly (or should I say whole-Mindedly!) that we CAN do something, we WILL be successful, we WILL get results…then it WILL happen! Try it on for size!
Visualization of your dreams and goals is so important and it’s what keeps me motivated when I feel lazy. Our team of health coaches get together a few times every month and have dream board nights! Magazines, pictures, snacks, music, goal setting… so much fun! When you have these pictures and images laid out in front of you, your subconscious is flooded with your goals and it goes to work; attracting those goals to YOU. If you have no target to shoot at, you will never hit it! As long as you keep that mindset positive and believe that it will happen no matter what, it WILL HAPPEN!
If I want to lie in bed a little bit longer, or skip out on doing that workout, or have one too many cheat meals, I go back to my goals, my dream boards, my vision, and remind myself WHY I am doing this. The “Why Factor” is strong point for results. If you don’t know why you are doing something, why would you want to continue it? Get crystal clear with WHY you want results, WHY you want to be healthy, WHY you want to take care of yourself and then put that in a visual form so you see it everyday!
Every morning I wake up and lie in bed for 5 minutes. I roll over and look at my dream board, my business goals, my personal goals, my WHYs. I close my eyes and literally FEEL what it would be like to have achieved those goals. I hold onto that feeling and carry it with me throughout my day. I set my intentions for the day as well. Things such as:
“Today, I will talk to 10 people about the importance of health and the opportunity I have to share with them.”
“Today, I will be positive and smile at everyone I cross paths with.”
“Today, I will have an AMAZING day because I am worth it!”
Small phrases like that are implanted into your subconscious on a clean slate first thing in the morning and follow you throughout your day. I have seen drastic results when my clients start implementing this into their schedule!
So start putting focus into your mindset. Take action on your personal development and watch how that changes your results! Document it, research it, attract it!!
